About This Socket - RT127RD
Add this caster socket to the largest round tube leg in the range, a 1.12-inch inside diameter, so a 7/16-inch grip-ring stem caster can drop straight in where the heavy tube has no stem receiver.
The socket presses into the tube and holds the stem of a 7/16-inch grip-ring caster in a sized receiver, so the heaviest round-tube frame rolls without welding a mount on. At a 1.12-inch inside diameter this is the largest tube the RT12x range covers, sized for sturdy rack and equipment legs. Measure the tube before ordering and match it to the 1.12-inch fit, because the press has to be snug to carry the load.
Ideal applications
- The largest round tube legs at a 1.12-inch inside diameter
- A 7/16-inch grip-ring caster stem in the largest socket
- Heavy rack and equipment legs converted to rolling
If the tube measures a little smaller, step down to the 1.072-inch RT126RD or the 0.902-inch RT125RD, matched to your tube.
Pairs with: the 7/16-inch grip-ring stem caster that drops into it. See the Shepherd collection.
Wrong fit? A smaller tube or a flat frame? See the 0.777-inch RT120RD and top-plate casters in the Shepherd collection.
Also in this family: the 1.072-inch RT126RD, or the full Shepherd collection.
