About This Socket - RT125RD
Add this caster socket to a round tube leg with a 0.902-inch inside diameter so a 7/16-inch grip-ring stem caster can drop straight in, where the round tube has no receiver for a caster stem.
The socket presses into the tube and holds the stem of a 7/16-inch grip-ring caster in a sized receiver, turning a fixed round-tube base into a rolling one without welding or a bolt-on plate. At a 0.902-inch inside diameter it sits in the middle of the RT12x range, a common size on medium tube frames. Confirm your tube's inside diameter against the 0.902-inch fit before ordering, because the socket must press in tight to hold under load.
Ideal applications
- Round tube legs measuring 0.902 inches inside diameter
- A 7/16-inch grip-ring caster held in a sized receiver
- Medium tube frames converted to rolling bases
If the tube measures smaller or larger, see the 0.872-inch RT123RD or the 1.072-inch RT126RD, matched to your tube.
Pairs with: the 7/16-inch grip-ring stem caster that drops into it. See the Shepherd collection.
Wrong fit? A bigger tube or a flat frame? See the 1.12-inch RT127RD and top-plate casters in the Shepherd collection.
Also in this family: the 1.072-inch RT126RD, or the full Shepherd collection.
