About This Caster - 16TM06201SFBA
Specify this 6-inch 16 Series swivel for a high-load cart that has to hold at a stop, the phenolic caster whose face brake presses a shoe to the wheel while the hard tread carries the load without flattening.
A soft braked wheel still flat-spots where a heavy cart parks against the brake; the 16 Series phenolic wheel is a hard resin that holds its shape under load and takes oil and heat to 250°F, and the face brake clamps a shoe against the wheel face to stop it at a station. The roller bearing carries the medium-heavy load at a walk, the 6-inch diameter clears a thicker seam, and the 4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. USA-made for fast shipping.
