Pick this 6-inch Empire 170 rigid when a heavier straight-line cart needs a corrosion-proof wheel that rolls easily over rough floors.

The taller 6-inch wheel bridges cracks, drains, and door tracks with less effort and lifts capacity to 1,200 pounds on a fixed cart. The wheel is glass-filled polypropylene, a stiff reinforced plastic rated -20 to 250°F that resists washdown chemicals and rust where steel corrodes and rubber degrades. It is hard with no cushioning, so it transmits shock and can mark, and it runs on a roller bearing built for steady manual pushing. The rigid fork tracks straight only, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 7-1/2-inch mount height, and uses a kingpinless welded raceway with a zinc-plated finish.
