Pick this 6-inch Empire 170 swivel when a heavier cart needs to steer through a wet or hot area and roll over uneven floors.

The 6-inch swivel rolls over seams and debris with less effort than a smaller wheel and handles up to 1,200 pounds while turning under load. The wheel is glass-filled polypropylene, a stiff reinforced plastic rated -20 to 250°F that resists washdown chemicals and corrosion where steel and rubber struggle. It is hard with no cushioning, rolls cleanly on smooth floors, passes shock through, and can mark, and it runs on a roller bearing meant for manual pushing. The swivel pivots on a kingpinless welded raceway with no central pin to loosen, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 7-1/2-inch mount height, and is zinc plated.
