About This Caster - 170RT06201SFBB
Pick this 6-inch Empire 170 swivel with an FBB face brake when a heavier wet-area cart steers in open space and must stay put once parked.
The FBB brake is the wider-radius face-brake style, pressing a shoe against the wheel to hold a loaded cart in place. The wheel is glass-filled polypropylene, a stiff reinforced plastic rated -20 to 250°F that resists washdown chemicals and corrosion where steel rusts. It is hard with no cushioning, rolls cleanly on smooth floors, and can mark, and at 6 inches it carries up to 1,200 pounds on a roller bearing for manual pushing. The swivel turns on a kingpinless welded raceway with no central pin to loosen, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 7-1/2-inch mount height, and is zinc plated.

- Wide-radius FBB face brake holding a heavier plastic wheel on washdown carts
- Steering 6-inch cart up to 250°F that parks and holds in caustic bays
