Grey cast iron cracks on a hard hit and a flat iron tread scrubs in a turn; the 62 Series ductile iron wheel is forged to take the shock without cracking and rolls through heat to 800°F, the round crowned tread turns easy on a narrow contact, and the 6-inch diameter clears scale and slag. The roller bearing carries the dead weight at a walk, and the 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. Industrial-duty.
