About This Wheel - G 80/12G

Choose this 80mm Blickle G cast iron wheel when a wheel has to survive heat or cold far beyond what a sealed bearing can take.

The wheel is rugged grey cast iron with a machined tread, and its plain bore runs on a greased bushing fed by a grease nipple rather than a sealed ball bearing. That construction is what lets it handle extreme temperatures, from deep cold to furnace heat, where packed bearing grease would break down, so it suits oven and kiln carts, foundry work, and freezer lines. Cast iron rolls with extremely low resistance and resists wear outstandingly, but it is hard with no cushioning, runs noisy, can mark, and belongs on bare concrete or steel rather than soft or finished floors. At 80mm it is the compact size in this group and holds from -148 to 1112°F.
