About This Caster - 2.05208.441
Specify this 5-inch Performa rubber rigid for the trailing corners of an institutional cart, the fixed quiet caster that holds a straight line so a cart pushes true instead of wandering.
This is the rigid partner to the 5-inch Performa swivel: same soft Grey rubber tread on a polyolefin core that runs near-silent and leaves no mark, and the same maintenance-free Delrin bearing, but on a non-steering leg. A four-wheel cart needs rigid casters on the back so it tracks straight while the front swivels to steer, and without them a cart on four swivels crabs sideways and is hard to control. The top plate bolts to a flat frame, and the 5-inch diameter clears thresholds. It keeps a loaded institutional cart rolling quiet and straight.
