About This Caster - D4.04108.455 COND SS
Choose this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid when a cart has to bleed off static electricity in an ESD-sensitive or flammable area.
The wheel is Colson Performa rubber in a conductive flat tread, loaded to carry static charge from the cart through the caster instead of letting it build up, which protects electronics on the deck and reduces spark risk around solvents or fine dust. The flat profile gives a stable footprint, and the soft rubber rolls quietly while staying easy on floors, though the conductive compound can leave a mark on a light finished surface. The stainless steel frame suits wash-down areas, and the pedestal precision ball bearing keeps it rolling smoothly. Soft rubber holds the load class modest, so this is a static-control caster first. Rigid means it tracks straight. It serves from -45 to 180°F.
