About This Caster - D4.04109.455 COND SS
Choose this 4-inch Defender D4 swivel when a steering cart has to drain static charge in an ESD-sensitive or flammable workspace.
The swivel guides the front of the cart through tight bays, with a 3.375-inch swivel radius to allow, while the conductive flat-tread Performa wheel carries static from the cart down through the caster to ground rather than letting it build up, which protects electronics and reduces spark risk near solvents or dust. The flat profile gives a stable footprint, and the soft rubber rolls quietly and stays easy on floors, though the conductive compound can mark a light finished surface. The stainless steel frame suits wash-down service, and the pedestal precision ball bearing keeps wheel and swivel turning smoothly. Soft rubber keeps the load class modest, so static control comes first. It serves from -45 to 180°F.
