About This Wheel - D4.04108.5PN SS
Choose this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid when a cart takes knocks and drops and a brittle hard wheel would crack.
The wheel is Colson's Commander HD high-impact polymer, a tough blue tread built to absorb shock and impact without chipping or shattering the way phenolic or glass-filled nylon can when a loaded cart slams a dock plate or curb. It also takes heat and chemicals in stride, holding from -45 to 250°F, and the stainless steel frame handles corrosive, sprayed-down bays. The pedestal precision ball bearing keeps it rolling smoothly on faster, frequent trips and tow lines. It is still a hard wheel with no cushioning, so it passes floor shock through and can mark a soft floor, but its strength is surviving rough, high-impact handling. Rigid means it tracks straight.
