About This Caster - AS40P1TPUSB

Specify this 4-inch A-line swivel for a flat-framed cart on a finished floor that rolls non-marking and then has to hold its spot.

It bolts down through a 2-5/8 by 3-3/4 inch top plate, and the grey thermo-urethane tread on a cast iron core rolls easy under load and leaves no marks from -45 to 180°F. A side brake adds a lever that presses a shoe on the wheel to stop it rolling while the swivel stays free, and the precision ball bearing keeps the roll smooth. It is the non-marking braked top-plate corner of the A-line.

Ideal applications

• Flat-framed finished-floor decks that roll then hold
• Non-marking top-plate corners where a metal wheel marks
• Top-plate corners braked on the tread, swivel left free

The cast iron core holds the urethane tread's shape under a parked load, so the braked corner does not develop a flat between moves. To lock the swivel too, the total-lock AS40P1TPUTL pins the head as well.
