About This Caster - AS40P1PODSB
Use this 4-inch A-line swivel on the corner of a flat-framed cart that rolls and then has to stay put on a sloped or busy floor.
It bolts down through a 2-5/8 by 3-3/4 inch top plate, and a side brake adds a lever that presses a shoe on the wheel to stop it rolling once the cart is parked, while the swivel stays free to point. The wheel is a hard polyolefin on a polypropylene core that resists moisture from -45 to 180°F, and the Delrin plain bearing runs maintenance-free. It is the economical braked top-plate corner of the A-line.
Ideal applications
- Flat-framed corners that park on a grade or in traffic
- Economical braked top-plate decks on shop floors
- Hard polyolefin wheels held by a side brake, swivel free
To lock the swivel too, the total-lock AS40P1PODTL pins the head as well as the wheel.
