About This Caster - AS40P1PODTL

Specify this 4-inch A-line swivel for a flat-framed cart where the parked load cannot be allowed to roll or pivot.

It bolts down through a 2-5/8 by 3-3/4 inch top plate, and the total lock pins the wheel and the swivel head together in one pedal action so a loaded cart can neither creep nor swing once set, which a wheel-only side brake cannot guarantee. The wheel is a hard polyolefin on a polypropylene core that resists moisture from -45 to 180°F, and the Delrin plain bearing runs maintenance-free. It is the economical total-lock top-plate corner of the A-line.

Ideal applications

• Flat-framed corners that must lock against roll and pivot
• Top-plate decks parked on a grade where a swivel would swing
• Economical total-lock corners on hard polyolefin wheels

If the swivel can stay free while the wheel is stopped, the side-brake AS40P1PODSB costs less.
