About This Caster - AS40T1PODSB

Use this 4-inch A-line swivel on a shallow threaded socket where the cart rolls and then has to stay put on a sloped or busy floor.

The 1-inch threaded stem seats fully in a shallow 1/2-13 insert where a longer stem would bottom out, and a side brake adds a lever that presses a shoe on the wheel to stop it rolling while the swivel stays free. The wheel is a hard polyolefin on a polypropylene core that resists moisture from -45 to 180°F, and the Delrin plain bearing runs maintenance-free. It is the short-stem braked corner of the A-line.

Ideal applications

• Shallow 1/2-13 sockets needing a short stem and a wheel brake
• Thin-frame carts that park on a grade or in traffic
• Short-stem hard wheels held by a side brake, swivel free

If the corner only rolls, the plain short-stem AS40T1POD drops the brake.
