About This Caster - AS40T1TPUSB

Specify this 4-inch A-line swivel for a shallow threaded socket on a finished floor that rolls non-marking and then has to hold its spot.

The 1-inch threaded stem seats fully in a shallow 1/2-13 insert where a longer stem would bottom out, and the grey thermo-urethane tread on a cast iron core rolls easy under load and leaves no marks from -45 to 180°F. A side brake adds a lever that presses a shoe on the wheel to stop it rolling while the swivel stays free, and the precision ball bearing keeps the roll smooth between stops. The cast iron core holds the tread's shape so the braked corner does not develop a flat under a parked load.

• Shallow 1/2-13 sockets needing a short non-marking braked stem
• Thin-frame finished-floor carts that roll then hold
• Short-stem ball-bearing wheels braked on the tread
