Pick this 4-inch A-line swivel when a shallow threaded socket needs a non-marking wheel that carries more than the hard polyolefin.

The 1-inch threaded stem seats fully in a shallow 1/2-13 insert where a longer stem would bottom out, and the tread is grey thermo-urethane on a cast iron core, a non-marking polyurethane that rolls easier under load because the iron core holds its shape, holding from -45 to 180°F. The precision ball bearing keeps the roll smooth under weight, and the cast iron core resists the flat-spotting that sets into a softer wheel parked under load. It is the short-stem upgraded rolling corner of the A-line.

Ideal applications

• Shallow 1/2-13 sockets needing a short non-marking stem mount
• Thin frames carrying heavier light-to-medium loads
• Short-stem corners on a cast-iron-core urethane wheel

For the economical hard wheel at a lower load class, the black POD short-stem AS40T1POD drops to a polypropylene core.
