About This Caster - AS40T2TPU
Pick this 4-inch A-line swivel when a deep threaded socket needs a non-marking wheel that carries more than the hard polyolefin.
The 1-1/2-inch threaded stem bites deeper into a tapped boss or a thick leg for a positive hold, and the tread is grey thermo-urethane on a cast iron core, a non-marking polyurethane that rolls easier under load because the iron core holds its shape, holding from -45 to 180°F. The precision ball bearing keeps the roll smooth under weight, and the cast iron core resists the flat-spotting that sets into a softer wheel parked under load. It is the deep-stem upgraded rolling corner of the A-line.
Ideal applications
- Deep 1/2-13 sockets needing a long non-marking stem mount
- Thick frames carrying heavier light-to-medium loads
- Deep-stem corners on a cast-iron-core urethane wheel
For the economical hard wheel at a lower load class, the black POD deep-stem AS40T2POD drops to a polypropylene core.
Pairs with: matching grey TPU deep-stem swivels on the other legs of the same cart.
