About This Caster - ER4X2PODBTBK

Set this 4-inch polypropylene rigid on a compact hand-pushed cart corner that needs an easy roll and a park brake together.

It pairs two things: the precision ball bearing keeps the push light between stops, and the tread lock brake presses a pad onto the hard tread to stop the wheel rolling once parked, holding the cart on a grade from a rigid corner. The USA-made polypropylene wheel resists wash-down water and cleaners, and at 4 inches it keeps the deck low. The hard wheel rides firm with no cushion, the trade for that chemical resistance and the easy ball-bearing roll. It bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate and holds from -45 to 180°F.
