About This Caster - ES4X2PODBTBK
Use this 4-inch swivel on a frequently moved hard-wheel cart that rolls light all shift and then has to hold its spot.
It pairs the two features a busy cart wants: a precision ball bearing that keeps the wheel and swivel turning with little effort, and a tread-lock brake that presses a shoe on the wheel to stop it once parked. The wheel is a USA-made polyolefin, a hard black tread that resists moisture from -45 to 180°F, and it bolts down through the standard E-line 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate. The hard tread will not flat-spot under the wheel-lock when the cart sits parked.
Ideal applications
- Busy hard-wheel carts that roll light then park locked
- Precision ball bearing braked on a frequent-move corner
- Economical polyolefin held still on a smooth floor
If the cart moves seldom, the roller-bearing ES4X2PODTBK brakes the same way on a simpler bearing.
