About This Caster - ER5X2MORTBK

Set this 5-inch rubber-on-iron rigid on a mid-deck cart corner that rides quiet and has to hold once it is parked.

The tread lock brake presses a pad onto the rubber tread to stop the wheel rolling, holding a parked cart on a grade or during loading from a rigid corner that cannot swing aside. The mold-on-rubber tread on a cast-iron core cushions shock and runs quiet between stops, and at 5 inches it balances threshold clearance against a lower deck than the 6-inch. It runs on a roller bearing and bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate, holding from -40 to 180°F.

• Rigid braked corner balancing clearance and deck height

If the corner only needs to roll, the plain ER5X2MOR drops the brake.
