About This Caster - ES5X2MORTBK
Use this 5-inch mold-on rubber swivel where a cart needs mid-size clearance, a quiet ride, and a corner that parks and holds.
The 5-inch diameter clears a higher seam than a 4-inch wheel, a tread-lock brake presses a shoe on the wheel to stop it once parked, and the tread is mold-on rubber bonded to a cast iron core, quiet and non-marking, cushioning seams from -40 to 180°F. The roller bearing carries the load through slow travel. The rubber is bonded to the iron core, so it will not peel off under load like a pressed-on tyre and will not flat-spot when the braked cart sits parked.
Ideal applications
- Mid-size mold-on rubber corners that park on a grade
- 5-inch carts held still on a quiet finished floor
- Tread-lock braked cushioned wheels on a medium-heavy load
