About This Caster - ER8X2CIRTBK
Set this 8-inch cast iron rigid on a heavy high-heat cart corner that clears the roughest ground and has to stay put once parked.
The tread lock brake presses a pad onto the cast iron wheel to stop it rolling, holding a heavy parked cart on a grade from a rigid corner. At 8 inches, the largest in the E-Line, the cast iron wheel clears expansion joints and broken concrete and holds up from -40 to 600°F for an oven or foundry line. The trade is a hard, noisy wheel that damages a soft floor, so it suits bare concrete. It runs on a roller bearing and bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate.
Ideal applications
- Heavy 8-inch cast iron corners that hold on a grade in heat
- Tread lock stopping the largest rigid-frame cast iron wheel to 600°F
- Rigid braked corner clearing the roughest ground on concrete
If the corner only needs to roll, the plain ER8X2CIR drops the brake.
