About This Caster - ER6X2CIRTBK

Set this 6-inch cast iron rigid on a tall high-heat cart corner that clears rough ground and has to stay put once parked.

The tread lock brake presses a pad onto the cast iron wheel to stop it rolling, holding a parked cart on a slope from a rigid corner. At 6 inches the cast iron wheel clears thresholds a smaller wheel jams on and holds up from -40 to 600°F for an oven or foundry line. The trade is a hard, noisy wheel that damages a soft floor, so it suits bare concrete. It runs on a roller bearing and bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate.

Ideal applications

• Tall 6-inch cast iron corners that hold on a slope in heat
• Tread lock stopping a 6-inch cast iron wheel to 600°F
• Rigid braked corner clearing rough ground on concrete

If the corner only needs to roll, the plain ER6X2CIR drops the brake.
