About This Caster - ES4X2MOPTBK

Set this 4-inch braked swivel on the front corners of a low loaded cart that steers in tight space and then has to hold, where the deck rides low and the wheel must not roll once it is set.

The wheel molds a polyurethane tread onto a cast iron core from Pemco: the iron carries the load without plastic-core flex, and the red poly tread keeps the roll non-marking. The tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the loaded cart still while the swivel still turns to aim it, the roller bearing carries the weight, and the low 4-inch deck keeps the cart close to the floor. The 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate bolts to a flat deck, and the tread holds to 180°F.
