About This Caster - ES4X2TPDTBK
Set this 4-inch swivel on the steering corners of a quiet-area cart that steers in tight space and then has to hold, where the soft low wheel runs silent and the brake locks the wheel.
The wheel is Pemco's Thermo-Rubber donut tread on a polypropylene core: a soft grey thermoplastic rubber that rolls quiet, leaves no marks, and cushions floor seams. The roller bearing carries the weight under the swivel, the tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the cart still while the swivel still turns, and the low 4-inch deck bolts on through a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate. The tread holds to 180°F.
