Put this 5-inch phenolic wheel under a platform truck that works an oily shop floor where a rubber or polyurethane tread would swell and a steel wheel would gouge the concrete.

Phenolic is a hard resin filled with macerated fabric, so it carries a heavy load for its size, shrugs off the oils and greases that break down elastomers, and takes heat to 180°F without softening. It will not flat-spot under a parked load the way rubber does, and the roller bearing handles the highest capacity of the Colson bearing options, which suits slow heavy travel under a loaded deck. The trade is noise and zero cushioning: a hard wheel telegraphs every floor seam.
