Choose this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid for a quiet, damp, lighter-duty cart that should need no maintenance at all.
It pairs the Delrin plain bearing, which is grease-free, corrosion-proof, and quiet under the lighter loads it is meant for, with Colson's Performa soft rubber wheel, the non-marking institutional tread that cushions the ride and protects finished floors. The combination is about as quiet and low-upkeep as a caster gets: nothing to grease out in a wash-down, nothing to corrode, and no floor marks. The stainless steel frame handles wet, chemical bays, and the rigid mount tracks straight at the rear of the cart. Soft rubber keeps the load class modest, so this suits clean, quiet, lightly loaded carts rather than heavy transport. It serves from -45 to 180°F.
