About This Caster - D4.04108.559 SS WB29
Pick this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid when a quiet, floor-friendly cart needs to carry as much as soft rubber allows, pushed slowly.
The roller bearing is the highest-capacity of the three bearings offered here, so it lets the Performa rubber wheel carry toward the top of its range as long as travel stays slow and steady. Performa is Colson's quiet, non-marking institutional rubber that cushions the ride and protects finished floors, on a stainless steel frame for corrosive wash-down bays. Even with the roller bearing, soft rubber tops out below a hard poly wheel, so this is for noise-sensitive areas that still want a bit more load, not for true heavy haulage. The rigid mount tracks straight at the rear of the cart. It serves from -45 to 180°F.
