Reach for this 5-inch Defender D4 rigid when a heavy chemical-area cart rolls at a fair clip and needs a strong wheel.
The Maxim glass-filled nylon wheel carries high loads for its size thanks to glass-fiber reinforcement, and it resists chemicals and moisture without absorbing water. The pedestal precision ball bearing keeps it rolling smoothly on faster, frequent trips and tow lines, where this build earns its place over a grease-free Delrin version. At 5 inches it bridges thresholds more easily than a smaller wheel, on a stainless steel frame for corrosive bays. Glass-filled nylon is hard with no cushioning and can mark a soft floor, so it favors strength and speed over ride comfort. Rigid means it tracks straight at the rear. It serves from -20 to 180°F.
