About This Caster - D4.05108.921 SS
Pick this 5-inch Defender D4 rigid when a wash-down cart needs to protect the floor and carry more than rubber, with no bearing upkeep.
The wheel is HI-TECH polyurethane on a polyolefin core, a non-marking tread that takes more load than soft rubber, resists abrasion, and will not flat-spot when parked, all while staying gentle on a finished floor. The Delrin plain bearing runs grease-free and corrosion-proof for sprayed-down rooms, and at 5 inches the wheel clears thresholds more easily than a smaller one. The stainless steel frame handles corrosive bays. Compared with a hard plastic wheel it gives a little under load and rolls with less effort. Rigid means it tracks straight at the rear. It serves from -45 to 180°F.
