Put this 3.5-inch swivel under a lab leg-cart with a deep threaded boss that parks at the bench and gets wiped down, where a longer stem grabs more thread and a side brake holds it.

This A-Line POD from Pemco is a polyolefin tread on a polypropylene core, a hard black wheel that shrugs off water and detergent without swelling or rusting, so it suits lab carts a metal-core wheel would corrode under. A side-mounted foot brake locks the wheel with a tap so the cart holds at the bench while the swivel still turns, the longer 1/2-13 by 1-1/2 inch threaded stem grabs a deep boss, and the taller 3.5-inch wheel clears wet thresholds. The Delrin plain bearing runs maintenance-free, and the tread holds to 180°F.
