Set this 5-inch phenolic rigid on the back corners of a medium-duty oily-floor cart that has to lock once parked, where a roller bearing carries the weight and the brake holds the corner.
The wheel is hard resin-bonded phenolic from Pemco: it carries a heavy load on a small footprint, rolls with low resistance, and shrugs off oil, grease, and solvent from -45°F to 250°F. The roller bearing carries the weight, the tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the cart still, and the rigid fork keeps it tracking straight. At 5 inches the wheel rolls easier over seams, and the brown phenolic wheel bolts on through a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate.
Ideal applications
- Back corners of medium-duty oily-floor carts, parked and held
- Roller bearing under the load, tread lock on a 5-inch wheel
- 5-inch phenolic wheel resisting oil to 250°F
