About This Wheel - 4.00005.311
Use this 5-inch phenolic wheel on a light cart that runs through a damp or clean area and does not need a wide, heavy tread.
The narrow 1-1/2-inch face rolls with less drag and costs less than a 2-inch tread, and the Delrin plain bearing runs maintenance-free without lubrication that moisture would wash away. The hard phenolic still resists floor oils and holds to 180°F, and at 5 inches it clears a low threshold while keeping the deck reasonable. Because there is no grease to attract grit, it stays smooth in spaces that are mopped or sprayed down daily. This is the light, quiet, no-maintenance phenolic, not a high-capacity one.
Ideal applications
- Light wash-area carts wanting a narrow no-lube wheel
- Clean rooms where a greased bearing is unwelcome
- Low thresholds at a moderate load, quiet plain bearing
