Set this 5-inch Empire 170 rigid on a fixed corner of an economical cart that carries weight and clears thresholds.

The PM build is the value version of the Empire 170, bringing kingpinless durability, with no central kingpin to loosen under shock, to applications where a premium caster would be over-spec, and it carries up to 1,000 pounds at this size. The green round polyurethane tread is the standard firm durometer: non-marking and easy-rolling for everyday loads. As a rigid caster it tracks straight on the fixed corners, runs on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 6-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
