Set this 5-inch Empire 170 soft-tread swivel with a combined face brake and swivel lock on a cart corner that needs a cushioned ride, then locks down completely.
This is the total-lock version: a face brake stops the wheel and a swivel lock holds the swivel, so a loaded cart parks dead still. The 80A tread is a softer 80 Shore A polyurethane that absorbs shock and runs quieter than the firm green PM, gentler on delicate loads, while carrying up to 1,000 pounds at this size. The butterscotch round polyurethane is non-marking, and the PM build brings kingpinless durability with no central kingpin to loosen. It steers on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 6-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
