Set this 5-inch Empire 170 rigid on a fixed corner of an economical cart that needs a softer, cushioned ride.

This is the 80A version: a softer 80 Shore A polyurethane tread that absorbs more shock and runs quieter than the firm green PM, which is gentler on delicate loads and finished floors while still carrying up to 1,000 pounds at this size. The butterscotch round polyurethane is non-marking, and the PM build brings kingpinless durability with no central kingpin to loosen under shock. As a rigid caster it tracks straight on the fixed corners, runs on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 6-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
