About This Caster - AS40H1PODSB

Use this 4-inch A-line swivel on a bolt-through frame that rolls and then has to hold its spot without a separate floor chock.

The hollow kingpin mounts with a single 1/2-inch bolt through the swivel center into the frame, and a side brake adds a lever that presses a shoe on the wheel to stop it rolling while the swivel stays free to point. The wheel is a hard polyolefin on a polypropylene core that resists moisture from -45 to 180°F, and the Delrin plain bearing runs maintenance-free. It is the braked bolt-through corner of the A-line.

Ideal applications

• Bolt-through frames that park on a grade or in traffic
• Single-bolt mounts needing a wheel brake, no plate
• Economical hard wheels held by a side brake, sealed floor

If the corner only rolls, the plain AS40H1POD drops the brake.
