About This Caster - ES8X2TPDBTBK

Set this 8-inch swivel on the steering corners of a heavy hand-pushed quiet-area cart that crosses thresholds and then has to hold, where a ball bearing eases the steer and the brake locks the wheel.

The wheel is Pemco's Thermo-Rubber donut tread on a polypropylene core: a soft grey thermoplastic rubber that rolls quiet, leaves no marks, and cushions thresholds and floor seams. The precision ball bearing cuts the push effort so a tall loaded cart steers by hand, the 8-inch wheel bridges thresholds and elevator gaps, and the tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the cart still. The 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate bolts to a flat deck.
