About This Caster - ES8X2TPD
Set this 8-inch swivel on the steering corners of a quiet-area cart that crosses thresholds and elevator gaps and has to steer, where a tall soft wheel bridges the bumps quiet and leaves no marks.
The wheel is Pemco's Thermo-Rubber donut tread on a polypropylene core: a soft grey thermoplastic rubber that rolls quiet, leaves no marks, and cushions thresholds and floor seams the load would otherwise feel. The 8-inch diameter clears thresholds and elevator gaps that stop a shorter wheel, the swivel turns on a roller bearing so even the tall wheel steers by hand, and the 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate bolts to a flat deck. The tread holds to 180°F.
