About This Caster - ES8X2TPDTBK
Set this 8-inch swivel on the steering corners of a quiet-area cart that crosses thresholds and then has to hold, where the tall soft wheel bridges the bumps silent and the brake locks the wheel.
The wheel is Pemco's Thermo-Rubber donut tread on a polypropylene core: a soft grey thermoplastic rubber that rolls quiet, leaves no marks, and cushions thresholds and floor seams. The roller bearing carries the weight under the swivel, the tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the cart still while the swivel still turns, and the 8-inch wheel bridges thresholds and elevator gaps. The 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate bolts to a flat deck.
